Small Business Saturday, which took place on December 2, is now in its sixth year in the UK, and in 2017 an estimated £748m was spent with small businesses on the campaign day.

Rutherglen MSP Clare Haughey and Rutherglen South Councillor Carol Nugent are to meet with representatives of the Bank of Scotland to discuss the proposed closure of the branch in Burnside. Scheduled for the 10th December, the elected representatives are to hold discussions in Rutherglen with the bank’s local director and a member of their public affairs team.
