Since her election in 2016, Clare has proudly represented the Rutherglen Constituency – standing up for the communities in Blantyre, Halfway, Cambuslang and Rutherglen. Clare is standing as the local SNP candidate once more and is seeking re-election in May’s Scottish Parliament election.

Please note: Due to the Scottish Parliament election which takes place on Thursday 7^th May, under parliamentary rules, MSPs are no longer permitted to take on casework during the campaign period (which runs from Thursday 26^th March to Thursday 7^th May 2026).

If you were contacting Clare looking for assistance, and if your issue cannot wait until the 8^th May when MSPs are elected, we’d encourage you to contact another elected representative, for example a local councillor, to see if they can assist.

Clare is really sorry for the inconvenience, but she hopes that you can appreciate that I have to abide by the rules set by the Scottish Parliament.
