LOCAL BUS SERVICE SAVED

JMB Travel have stepped in to save the 14 bus after First Glasgow pulled out of running the route.

The service travels from the centre of Rutherglen through to Burnside, Cathkin and Fernhill.

JMB Travel have taken over the route from Sunday 5th February with no changes to the timetable.

Rutherglen MSP Clare Haughey welcomed the news.

Commenting, the local MSP said:

“It is great news that JMB Travel have stepped in to save the number 14 bus, after the deeply disappointing decision from First Glasgow to withdraw it.

“The 14 is a key service for many residents who depend on it for accessing local amenities, and I know it’s a relief to many that the service will now continue.”
