Last week (18th Jan) I took part in a debate marking the Scottish Government’s publication of a draft strategy on tackling loneliness and social isolation – which is the first of its kind in the UK and one of the first worldwide.
During my speech, I highlighted the great work done by Gordon MacLean from Rutherglen who is a volunteer with Grow 73. Gordon’s passion in bringing all sections of the community together is inspirational, and his drive in ensuring that no one is left alone is heart-warming.
