Council areas across Scotland are to share more than £3.2 billion in grant funding over five years to help deliver more affordable homes. As part of this, South Lanarkshire Council is to receive almost £31 million for the financial year, an increase on last year. This will take total Scottish Government affordable housing funding, over the past five for the local authority, to £156 million.
FUNDS SET TO SUPPORT LOCAL SCHOOL CHILDREN WITH NEW SCHOOL CLOTHES
The Scottish Government is set to support an estimated 10,600 school children across South Lanarkshire – with investment totalling £700,000 – to buy school clothes through the School Clothing Grant.

The pandemic has put enormous pressure on households, communities and local services right across Scotland, and I am glad that the Scottish Government has ensured South Lanarkshire has more funding to deal with this.
First Covid vaccine approved
